Even if you are getting a surgical abortion it still won’t affect your fertility (unless of course there is an issue with scar tissue but that’s a small risk). However if you are not trying to start your family I would recommend some sort of birth control to prevent pregnancy.
I had my last period on 27th/31st July. I had unprotected sex on Aug 7th. Hi Adedeji, it takes a few weeks for the hormones to be out of your body from pregnancy, even if you did go through and abortion. I would give it some time and if within a week or so you are still experiencing them, contact your doctor.

Hi Jane, I would recommend talking to your doctor about surgical abortion in your case and then I would consider a form of regular birth control in order to prevent pregnancy so that you don’t have to go through an abortion and you get pregnant when you are ready for a baby.
