Hi i usually have 45 day cycle its my 50th day now. My bf and i had protected sex about a week and a half from now. I always felt nauseous after those but Ive also been having signs of cramps and breast soreness with some back pain. im also taking a high dosage ofvit c since sex. I also had a serum PT which resulted into negative about 2 days ago. i also kinda changed my sleeping habits and stressed due to the work .Right now im having uti symptoms. hi Carla, you could also be experiencing this because of stress, an actual uti, The cramps could have been from that as well. Have you missed your period or taken a pregnancy test.

Hi Helen, since you posted about a UTI have you had one? There could be a lot of things that affect your body such as stress, medications, etc. If none of those apply to you and you don’t get your period, make an appointment with your doctor.

Hi Mae, A UTI causes stress in the body which can affect your period, so yes your period could be slightly delayed. Also if you were taking an antibiotic that could affect it as well.

Hi Connie, how do you know it was a false positive? Did you take another one to confirm that? A UTI can affect your cycle, but I would take another test honestly especially if you have only taken one.
Hi, I’ve started with a UTI just as I have started my 7 day break on my combi pill, i’m on my 3rd day of my break and would usually have started to bleed by now but nothing is happening. Is this because of the UTI? should I still bleed and what do I do when my 7 days are up if I still haven’t bled? Do I start my next pill cycle or not? (I have no worries about being pregnant). Hi Danielle, yes. It could be from the UTI because it is affecting the natural rhythm and health of our bodies. As far as starting your next pack, just stay on schedule with it. You might bleed a few days into it, but that would be normal.

hi, I’m 22 years …I missed period for the past three months…and i wasnt worried checking cos I had such an issue and it came back. I was asked to pelvic scan and hvs. The pelvic scan showed I was okay but noted I do hormone profile and hvs result was delayed. When I got back to my doctor he just assumed I had an infection and d best way was to insert something in to vagina which I dont want to do.I just saw my hvs result today and found I have coliform infection. I planned going to see another doctor by Saturday but could it be coliform infection that could be causing a delay for menstrauting.
Hi, Yes it could cause a delay in your period. Ovulation is a sensitive thing for our bodies and having an infection can surely delay ovulation and therefore your period.

Hi Prisca, It could be that the antibiotics could have delayed your period. Have you checked to ensure that you don’t still have the infection? Have you taken another pregnancy test. Hi I’m 16 and I have had a UTI since last year. I took meds which stopped it for a bit but then it came right back. I think I’m supposed to be getting more but why did it come back so quickly. Hi Wolfie, it could be that the previous UTI was never completely cleaned up. If that’s the case, sometimes you need a longer stint or a different version of medication. I would recommend going back to the doctor for a recheck.
