I went off nuvaring on 3/29 and we are ttc. I had a withdraw bleed for about 5/6 days. Then on cycle day 13&14 I had a decent amount of bleeding which was very mucus like, but enough to need pads and tampons. Could this have been an ovulation bleed? Cycle day 12 I had egg white cm.
Yes this could be an ovulation bleeding that is usually much lighter and shorter than an average period. You also can have a feeling of the pressure in the lower stomach, some back pain and the amount of the mucus is usually substantial. As you have went off Nuvaring you can experience some hormonal imbalance but it shouldn’t be anything serious.
Hi.okay so Thursday April 9 I had sex and the condom broke and I take birth control and was on the third day third week of my pill and took it 2 hours late ? Now it April 14 and I think it’s my period but I’m not sure .please help im very scared .

If you are on the pill and only 2 hours late , it will not result in pregnancy. You had sex 5 days before your period ( which can be light or short or painless- depending how your body reacts on the birth control) so that is also one factor against the possible pregnancy.
Hello, I am 28. I had irregular periods. Now its normal after treatment. I am having menses like bleeding during my ovulation week on 17th day for the first time. It started with brownish on Apr 13 and turned to bright red. Still it did not stop. Mine is 30 day cycle. I am trying to conceive for the last four months. Took HSG test on my 8th day. Test result was normal. I am yet to make an appointment wtih our doctor. I am worried as we could not try this time due to this bleeding. I am not sure if this is an ovulation bleeding.
The ovulation bleeding starts with the few drops of pink blood mixed with a good amount of the mucus and shortly turns into the brownish mess. That is an ovulation bleeding. This thing that is happening to you is not. Yours turned from brownish to ‘live bleeding’, or a bright red. It is a positive sign that something is either wrong or it is your irregular period that came unexpected. I suggest that you go to your doctor and sort it out with the help of a professional.
hi, used promegan lately as a result of breast milk discharge but had to stop bcos of body weakness but now my pre ovulation discharge is dark brown and i was disturbed till i read the comments. can the spotting be a result of the drug which I used. I am trying to conceive
The steroid therapy will induce body changes, like in this case it should cause a pause in hormones and if dosed well, the regression to the balance after. In your case this could be a normal body occurrence unrelated to the medications.
If a therapy was short, any side effects should be gone in the same time frame of the previously induced therapy.

Well, irregular or not but you are missing period for almost 2 months. Spotting can occur for the several reasons. If you have such an unusually prolonged periods in general, it could be the ovulation. I completely understand why are you so disturbed and I suggest that maybe it is the best to trust your health to the professionals who will be able to advise you better and eventually help you to get pregnant.
You say that you and your hubby are trying to get pregnant for the last 5 months without the positive results. If you have the irregular periods that means that you probably missed only the 2 ovulations ( maybe) so it is not such a huge catastrophe after all.
Hi there im 20 years old and for like 2 days now ill notice some dark brown stuff that comes with my ovulation. Since I have never had this before and it kind of looks like dry blood should I be worried or is it something normal that will happen once in awhile?
It shouldn’t be massive, or completely brown, or as coagulated blood or as the dry blood. Also ovulation bleeding is mild, the discharge is not accompanied with any coagulation and it is usually well incorporated with the mucus. If it doesn’t resemble to my description or with the one in the article above then you should make an appointment with your doctor. I also wouldn’t advise that you start taking any hormonal therapy or the anti baby pills before mentioning this to your gynecologist.
Of course it can be just a standard thing and you have nothing to worry about.
Hi guys! I was on the implant for 3 years. Came off it in November of 2014 and me and my boyfriend are trying to have a baby. I had really bad irregular periods before the implant then they completely stopped for the 3 years I had the implant. When I had it removed I was having my period and ovulation bleeding but quite heavy! I had sex on Sunday the 1st on feb. I ovulated on the 2nd and there was no bleeding what so ever and I’m still getting stomach cramps and feeling tired. 5 days later I’ve done a pregnancy test and it still is saying I’m not pregnant. Is it because I’ve not left it long enough or could i be pregnant? Please help I’m going through my mind 🙁 thank you x
Hi, Ladies in early November I decided to get off my Birth Control because my husband, and I are trying for our second child, I did not get my period for the whole month of November which I though was because I was pregnant ?! well I took pregnancy test after pregnancy test and they all came back (-) turns out I was not pregnant come December 16th I get my period it lasted about 7 days , and now a few days later I’m getting this weird spotting that’s pinkish/brown with a bit of mucus that only lasted about two days ? so now im a little confused as to whats going on in my body ? im freaking out because im scared I might not be able to get pregnant with all these changes going on in my body

BUT recently ( approximately around Dec. 14 – 15 ) I had light bleeding, mote noticeable when I wiped… but my periods have always been irregular.. well me & my husband are trying conceive. We had sex Thursday, ( Dec. 18th ) do any of you know if it’ll possible to still get pregnant although I haven’t had a full period, just slightly bleeding a couple of days ago?
Hi , spotting is not unusual and as you are irregular, tracking period and ovulation to come is not an easy task. The best way for you will be to have intimate moment with your husband one day on 2 as soon you have no period until the next one…. and stop thinking about conceiving … I know it is hard but a lot of couple that struggle to conceive finally get it once they gave up …

Hi, i am having PCOS and now i am on medication to boost my fertility. On 6 June2014, gyne has performed ultrasound on my egg. with 3 mature eggs, i was given another medication. However, on 4 June 2014, i notice light bleeding till today (5 June 2014). I am wondering if this is a ovulation bleeding or menstrual bleeding. I do notice no stain on my pantyliner but i can see dark red blood each time i wipe with tissue.

My last period started 5th of January and it ends at 11th of January , today the date is 19th of January , since 12th of January I had every intercourse pinkish discharge then it goes away , but today I had pain just like period pain and blood like the picture above plus I had diarrhea

Hi I’m 23 years old, I had a still born in may this year, so I’ve had a couple of normal periods so far. Me & my partner are trying for another baby. My last period was on 15th August. So my fertile period was 25th to 29th. On Saturday I noticed some bleeding, it started off as brown, now it’s reddish pinkish colour. I read on the net that some people experience ovulation bleeding while on their fertile period. I think it maybe that because its way to early for my period. Plus the bleeding is light, it’s not heavy. Now it’s Monday & I’m still bleeding & it’s still light. I was wondering if you could help me as this is the first time I’ve experienced this & I’m a little worried.
we could guess what might be the cause, but the smartest thing would be to visit your gynecologist. especially if it doesn’t stop by Wednesday…
